The purpose of this research is to develop a new fuzzy group decision making algorithm and apply it to select the most preferred alternative for sediment management in the Dez dam reservoir. In this way, nine potential alternatives for sediment management in the Dez reservoir and four criteria (technical and executive requirements, economic factors, social welfare, environmental impacts) are selected. In order to evaluate different alternatives, firstly, the collective group weight of each alternative is calculated considering assessment of a group consisting of four criteria. And after that, the best alternative is selected using the proposed fuzzy group decision making methodology. The results of this study showed the efficiency of the application of fuzzy group decision making in sediment management. Application of the proposed method helps to balance the whole criteria and to select the best alternative.

The article represents an overview of the principles of risk management applicable at different stages of the life cycle of a portfolio of construction projects in the context of procedures of its compilation, adjustment and monitoring. Design and development of its structure contemplates collection of project initiatives for each individual portfolio, as well as assessment of risks, development of business plans, compilation of a register of projects, priority ranking of projects, identification of the most efficient portfolio, its approval and monitoring of its implementation.The authors also provide their recommendations concerning the analysis of the integrated rating of a construction project. In the final section of the article, the authors make their conclusion about the effect of the process model and the knowledge base on the implementation of construction projects.

The accumulated experience of constructing technically complicated objects and the modern design technologies in general allow conducting deep analysis of construction technological solutions, though, during the project implementation there usually appears an objective necessity to substitute a wide list of technological equipment by the analogues with most close technological characteristics. In the production process it is a rather timeconsuming and organizationally complicated task, which is firstly connected with the choice of reliable supplier and contractor, logistic coordination, providing the purchase procedure. The enumerated factors critically influence the terms of energy project implementation.In the article special aspects of the construction of power engineering facilities is considered. The authors justified the necessity of the researches on the life cycle period related to preparation for construction operations, during which the project is influenced by a lot of negative factors and circumstances different in their form and intensity. The examples and the definitions of unforeseen events and circumstances, which can influence on the realization of the project, are given. The solution to the problem of risk management in the process of technological equipment supply during the construction of power engineering facilities is given. They allow implementing the goal function in the best way providing the required efficiency.

One of the tasks a construction complex is facing today is the transition to innovative technological form. New efficient mechanisms of management of its innovative development are needed. It is necessary to involve specialized engineering companies rendering the services in innovative engineering into innovative activity management of the organizations of a construction complex. Within these services we offer the use of new administrative instrument of “innovative leasing engineering”. In the article the functions of the engineering companies carried out within this instrument of innovative development of a construction complex are offered and proved. The management process of risks in this sphere is considered. Classification of risks of innovative leasing in a construction complex is specified. The risks of a managing director of an engineering company are revealed and proved; the risks of other participants of the leasing relations are specified. New approach to decrease the risks of innovative leasing with participation of the managing director of an engineering company is offered on the basis of the methods of risks distribution between the participants of the leasing relations, insurance and hedging of risks.

The author considers and analyzes different types of risks that an investment building project may be exposed to, as well as the influence of risks on the project life cycle; sustainability of organizations is studied in the context of risk as an attribute of uncertainty-related parameters of the external environment. The conceptual approach to managerial solutions based on (1) the criterion of flexibility, and (2) the rate of change of characteristics of external actions is proposed.
The proposed approach serves as the basis for the following conclusions:
the nature of project management as a system is based on the velocity of changes that affect the project sustainability environment;
the methodology of risk management applicable to investment building projects based on decision making under conditions of ambiguity fails to guarantee the viability of the project in the turbulent environment, namely, the environment that demonstrates intensively changing characteristics;
effective project implementation requires a reasonable combination of principles of optimal and extreme risk management;
minimization of risky situations requires reduction of the project implementation period;
development of domestic methodologies and standards of project risk management tailored to the conditions of our construction industry is a relevant assignment.
